Accessibility Standards

• We conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA
• We comply with Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
• We follow inclusive design principles in all development decisions
• We conduct regular accessibility audits and user testing

Color and Contrast

• All text maintains a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against backgrounds
• Large text and UI components meet the 3:1 contrast requirement
• Color is never the sole means of conveying information
• Interactive elements have clear focus indicators

Text and Typography

• Text can be resized up to 200% without horizontal scrolling
• We use clear, readable fonts throughout the platform
• Proper heading structure (H1-H6) for screen reader navigation
• Descriptive link text that makes sense out of context

Images and Media

• All informative images include descriptive alt text
• Decorative images are properly marked for screen readers
• Charts and graphs include text alternatives
• Company logos include appropriate alt descriptions

Keyboard Navigation

• All functionality is accessible via keyboard alone
• Logical tab order throughout all pages and forms
• Visible focus indicators for all interactive elements
• Skip links to main content and navigation areas
• No keyboard traps that prevent navigation

Interactive Elements

• Click targets are at least 44px by 44px for touch interfaces
• Sufficient spacing between interactive elements
• Clear labels and instructions for all form controls
• Error messages are descriptive and actionable

Timing and Motion

• Users can extend or disable time limits where applicable
• Auto-playing content can be paused or disabled
• Animations respect users' motion preferences
• No content flashes more than 3 times per second

Screen Reader Compatibility

• Tested with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver screen readers
• Proper use of ARIA labels and descriptions
• Form labels are programmatically associated with inputs
• Tables include proper headers and captions
• Dynamic content updates are announced to screen readers

Speech Recognition

• Voice control software compatibility (Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
• All interactive elements have accessible names
• Speech input is supported in form fields

Browser and Platform Support

• Compatible with modern browsers and their accessibility features
• Works with browser zoom up to 400%
• Supports high contrast mode and dark mode preferences
• Mobile accessibility on iOS and Android devices

Job Search Accessibility

• Search filters are clearly labeled and keyboard accessible
• Job listings include structured headings for easy navigation
• Pagination controls are accessible and clearly marked
• Job application forms include helpful instructions and error handling

Document Management

• Resume upload interface is keyboard accessible
• File format requirements are clearly communicated
• Upload progress and completion status are announced
• Document preview includes accessibility considerations

Educational Content

• Blog posts and resources use semantic HTML structure
• Tools directory includes detailed descriptions
• Interactive charts provide text alternatives
• Video content (when available) includes captions

Current Limitations

We are continuously working to improve accessibility. Currently identified areas for enhancement include:

• Some third-party job posting content may not meet our accessibility standards
• Advanced search features are being enhanced for better screen reader support
• Mobile app accessibility improvements are in development
